It’s the news we’ve been waiting for – the names of multiple new tenants coming to an upcoming Loudoun County shopping center have been announced.
For years now, The Burn has been following and reporting on the long-simmering plans for the Shops at Arcola.
That’s a retail center under development near the intersection of Loudoun County Parkway and Dulles West Boulevard – just a few blocks north of Route 50.
For residents in the area, this is all the vacant property around the new Target store that opened there last year.
Now, the developer of the Shops at Arcola – SJC Ventures – has released a list of the first tenants to sign on to the project.
The list confirms the plans for a Cooper’s Hawk restaurant that The Burn reported about back in August.
Besides, Cooper’s Hawk, future diners and shoppers can look forward to:
- a Shake Shack restaurant
- a Firebirds restaurant
- a Tifa Chocolate & Gelato shop
- a Woof Gang Bakery doggie treat shop
- an Inspire Nail Bar
- a Lafayette Federal Credit Union
- a Heartland Dental office
The list also includes the already reported plans for an organic grocery store to anchor the development.
As The Burn reported back in May, it is heavily suspected that store will be a Whole Foods, but that has not been confirmed at this time.
Based on the current plans for the site, there are up to 17 additional retail spaces that tenants have not been announced for – so plenty of future news to come out of this project.
No word when construction will officially start. Traditionally, a developer needs to have a good number of tenants signed – at least some key big tenants – before moving forward. That threshold may have now been reached with this new lineup.
