The State Bank of Pakistan has introduced the first project under its new Innovation Hub framework: a 16-week Mojaloop accelerator for Pakistan, developed with the Mojaloop Foundation. Business Recorder reported that the programme began in November 2026 and is scheduled to continue through February 2027, combining independent study with instruction from specialists.
The framework, created as part of SBP Vision 2028, is intended to bring financial technology participants together for learning and cooperation. The accelerator will help local organisations working on payment systems build technical knowledge, while connecting participants with international expertise and the Mojaloop developer community. SBP Deputy Governor Saleem Ullah said the effort could help institutions convert new concepts into practical payment services and support wider access to digital finance. The Foundation will contribute programme planning and technical education.
