The neighbouring homes have a significant beach frontage unrivalled in the rest of the suburb.

A classic home on illustrious Moule Ave that set the suburb’s price record last year when it sold for $32.8m, has returned to the market with a $46m-$50m asking price, while its neighbour is also up for grabs at $42m-$46m.
Sold together, it could represent an eye-watering outlay of $95m in what would be not only the biggest figure in Brighton’s history — but also put the Bayside enclave back in the realms of Toorak where pharmacy industry boss and billionaire Dennis Bastas last year paid a record-breaking $116m for ex-Essendon boss Paul Little’s former home.

Title documents show both homes in the name of Pamela Colman, wife of Melbourne businessman and World Series of Poker Championships player Julius Colman.
They were also the buyers of the former Brighton home of ex-JB Hi Fi executive Richard Bouris, which sold last year for more than $25m.
The homes come with phenomenal water views.
There is virtually nothing between them and the beach.
Mr Colman bought the larger of the two from the estate of developer Bruce Terry last year.
The Herald Sun understands his purchase coincided with storm damage leading to a handful of trees on the property being slated for removal, opening the door for a significant new home build that could reach parts of the property it previously would not have been able to — which partly explains the anticipated price increase.
Colman has owned the neighbouring home for 12 years, with records showing he paid $18m for it.
The two properties represent a combined total of about 8800sq m of land in an elevated part of Brighton that has some of its best water views, and are among a handful of homes in the suburb that have no roads between them and the beach.

He bought the neighbouring property from the Terry family less than a year ago.
JP Dixon’s Jonathon Dixon is handling the sale and while he would not discuss the ownership of the properties, said the dual marked a “generational change” for the suburb and that he had never seen a comparable portion of Brighton’s waterfront listed for sale.
“Nothing like this has ever come up at the same time,” Mr Dixon said.
“They are basically side-bye-side and they are the best sited, as they are elevated.”
The agent has been selling for the suburb’s elite and famous faces, including the likes of Shane Warne and Sam Newman, since the 1970s, and said while there was already international interest, he wasn’t ruling out Australia’s wealthy.
The properties are set back from the street and highly secure.

He added that the current property market climate in Melbourne would have limited impact on buyers considering purchases north of $40m.
“At this level, they are totally different to the rest of the market,” Mr Dixon said.
