Yes, there are a lot of streaming services, and, yes, there’s a lot of buzz around the latest releases. But just because something’s trending or on lists of most-viewed titles doesn’t mean it’s always worth a watch.

The past few weeks have delivered a ton of great new content, from The Odyssey to Lucky. And this week is no different.

Allow me, an entertainment editor, to help you parse through it all with shows and movies that are actually worth watching. I’m talking exciting new movies like Spa Weekend, series finales like Outer Banks season five and returning comedies like It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 18. Enjoy the best selections (recommended by yours truly) on Apple TV, Prime Video and more.

From The Audacity to season three of Love Is Blind: UK, here’s what to watch this weekend.

    1. Spa Weekend

    • Rating: R
    • Runtime: 97 minutes

I got a sneak peak at this new comedy with an all-star cast (Anna Faris, Michelle Buteau, Leslie Mann and Isla Fisher), and believe me when I say it’s so funny. Three friends try to get away from their problems for the weekend, but things don’t go as planned when a wild fourth friend unexpectedly shows up. Think Girls Trip, but at a spa. Anna Faris told me exclusively about the cast, “I was so grateful to be there working and getting to watch, getting to act with these women. Just a thrill.”

    • Rating: TV-MA
    • Number of seasons: 5

The fifth and final season of the smash Netflix hit arrives on the streamer this week, and after that big season four finale twist, I’m ready to find out what happens next for the Pogues and Kooks. Star Madelyn Cline exclusively told me last month, “I always enjoy seeing or hearing people’s reactions once the season comes out. Sometimes it’s different than what I think they might feel, but I love that our writers have always kept everyone on their toes.”

    • Rating: TV-MA
    • Number of seasons: 18

The gang is back for an impressive 18th season, and based on the trailer alone, Charlie, Mac, Dennis, Dee and Frank won’t be pulling any punches. This raunchy, riotous comedy about five friends at a bar in Philly has always pushed the envelope, and I can’t wait to see who they massively offend next.

    • Rating: TV-MA
    • Number of seasons: 1

This brand-new dark comedy-drama is like a cross between Silicon Valley and Succession. The show stars Billy Magnussen and Zach Galifianakis, and follows a rising tech titan and his morally corrupt therapist. The Audacity looks like a great watch—and it already has a respectable 80 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

    • Rating: R
    • Runtime: 106 minutes

This biopic dramedy follows the late Anthony Bourdain in his teen years, as he impulsively travels to Provincetown and takes a job as a dishwasher for a local chef (Antonio Banderas). The part of “Tony” is played by relative newcomer Dominic Sessa, who you may recognize from the critically acclaimed film The Holdovers.

    • Rating: TV-MA
    • Number of seasons: 3

In case Love Is Blind on Netflix isn’t enough for you, there are a whopping 11 international versions to take in as well, including fan-favorite Love Is Blind: UK. Once again, sexy singles try to find love from opposite sides of a wall while drinking wine out of gold goblets. Only this time, they have, ya know, British accents.

    • Rating: TV-MA
    • Number of seasons: 3

In a fun travel show twist, Conan O’Brien travels the world and unexpectedly visits listeners from his real-life podcast. Things get awkward (and funny) real fast. O’Brien’s is another in a string of travel series featuring big names, like The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy and On the Roam with Jason Momoa.

    • Rating: TV-MA
    • Number of seasons: 2

In this drama series, Joe is a plumber who makes a shocking discovery: his dead father worked for the Russian mob—and stole a lot of money. The high-stakes show is back for season two, where he and his family face an even bigger threat (and a treasure hunt) in South Africa.

    • Rating: TV-MA
    • Runtime:91 minutes

Inspired by real-life events, this fast-paced, Mexican action film follows two police officers who inadvertently come face-to-face with a world-famous cartel leader known as “El Chapo.” (The notorious drug trafficker is currently serving a life sentence in an American prison.) Will they and their families make it out alive?

    • Rating: PG-13
    • Runtime: 99 minutes

Good news for fans of this iconic millennial love story: 10 Things I Hate About You is headed to Broadway in 2027. So, what better time to revisit this Taming of the Shrew-inspired teen flick starring Julia Stiles, Heath Ledger and Joseph Gordon-Levitt?

    • Rating: TV-MA
    • Number of seasons: 1

Season one of this detective series just hit Prime Video, and it’s inspired by the iconic ’80s show of the same name. Detective Jim Bergerac tries to solve a high-profile murder—and prove that he’s still a good father to his daughter Kim at the same time.

    12. Lanterns

    • Rating: TV-MA
    • Number of seasons: 1

Marvel may be dominating headlines this month (with Spider-Man crushing the box office and Wonder Man getting the chop), but DC Comics has also put out a new offering: Lanterns starring Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre. This dark drama is a detective show—only with an intergalactic twist. Oh, and it happens to be one of my favorite new shows of the month.

    • Rating: TV-14
    • Number of seasons:1

We all do love a period piece about a headstrong young woman who refuses to cave to societal pressures. This new show is based on a classic novel from 1901, where our heroine has to choose between a life of freedom and adventure and one of love and romance.

    14. The End of Oak Street

    • Rating: PG-13
    • Runtime: 99 minutes

If you didn’t get enough Anne Hathaway this year with Mother Mary, Devil Wears Prada 2 or The Odyssey, fear not. The Princess of Geno a family who suddenly find themselves (and their whole neighborhood) in the age of dinosaurs

    15. The Last House

    • Rating: PG-13
    • Runtime:110 minutes

A regular family wakes up one morning to discover that a mysterious force is keeping them trapped inside their own home. The fact that Greta Lee and Wagner Moura play the parents was enough to bump this sci-fi/horror movie right to the top of my must-watch list. Unfortunately, I’m not sure if I hate it or love-hate it.
