Prince Harry made an appearance at the 2024 Grey Cup Festival.

Harry, 40, spoke with TSN on the sidelines of the Grey Cup on Sunday, November 17, in Vancouver ahead of the game between Toronto Argonauts and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He was joined by Invictus Games competitor Wen Nie.

Harry was in Vancouver to promote the Invictus Games, which will be taking place in the city, as well as Whistler, from February 8 to February 16 next year. “It’s our ten year anniversary this year, which is really exciting,” Harry told TSN on Sunday. “The Invictus movement started back in 2014. It’s a sporting platform used for the rehabilitation and support for wounded soldiers, serving and veterans. We have 25 nations, growing all the time. It’s really an opportunity for the individuals themselves and their families to heal and rehabilitate.”

The Duke of Sussex celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games earlier this year — the games were founded in 2014 and see wounded, injured and sick military personnel compete in multiple sports. The most recent Games were held in Germany last year.

Prince Harry’s longtime friend Nacho Figueras is offering a rare look into their close relationship. “We stay in touch a lot, which is amazing to be able to have a friendship that feels like, although sometimes we’re not together-together, we are always together,” Figueras, 47, told Hello! at the Sentebale Polo Cup. “At least in […]

The Duke of Sussex’s appearance at the Grey Cup Festival comes ahead of his upcoming Polo documentary series, set to drop on Netflix in December. The series was created by Boardwalk Pictures and Archewell Productions, the production company Harry co-founded with wife Meghan Markle.

It was reported in April that the docuseries, which delves into the world of professional polo, was primarily filmed during the U.S. Open Polo Championship. At the time, Harry played alongside professional polo player and close friend, Ignacio “Nacho” Figueras, during the Sentebale ISPS Handa Polo Cup, where documentary cameras were filming.

“I have always wanted to introduce polo to a wider audience,” Figueras told People in April. “Prince Harry and I have talked about polo for years. The production company is incredible, and Netflix has a huge platform to reach the biggest hearts in the world. I am happy to be involved and think this is a great opportunity for the sport.”

Figueras also spoke to Hello! during the April match, where he revealed he and Harry had “been working on this for a long time,” in regards to Polo. “It was always Harry’s dream and passion to share the world, what it takes to be a really competitive polo player and show polo at the highest level.”

April’s Sentebale match was for charity, but Harry has considered himself an amateur polo player for years. “Bringing together the polo community that has long supported the work of Sentebale is always a great experience,” Harry said in his own statement. “Today, we raised funds to support our local teams on the ground [to] deliver life-changing programs.”

Figueras spoke to People again last month about working with his “dear friend” Harry, and what audiences can expect from Polo.

“It’s an honor to do anything with him,” the athlete told the outlet in October. “This is more his project than it is mine. It’s an honor to know that I was able to help.”

Figueras added, “The show is not about me. It’s not about him … So we’ve been working very hard on it and we’re very excited about the outcome.”
