Eminem’s daughter Hailie Jade Scott is gearing up to welcome a baby boy with husband Evan McClintock.
“We’re so excited,” the couple revealed during the Friday, October 11, episode of her “Just a Little Shady” podcast. Scott, 28, and McClintock popped a balloon showering them in blue confetti when revealing their baby’s sex to listeners.
“When we found out, Evan was like, ‘They’re going to hunt with me. They’re going to go golfing with me. I’ve got a little buddy,’” Scott said. “I was like, ‘OK well they’re still going to Target with me.’”
McClintock clarified that “whether it was a girl or a boy,” he hoped that their baby would be interested in the things he likes.

Eminem, 51, revealed his daughter’s pregnancy earlier this month when releasing the music video for his song “Temporary.” The visual featured clips of Scott growing up and offered sweet moments from her May wedding to McClintock. At one point, fans watched as she surprised the rapper with her pregnancy news.
Scott walked onto the deck of a house and handed Eminem a Detroit Lions football jersey that read “grandpa” on the back. The musician seemed genuinely surprised as he held her sonogram up to the camera.
Eminem shares Scott with ex-wife Kimberly Anne Scott. He is also a father to daughters Alaina, 31, and Stevie, 22.
As fans of the rapper know, Scott has been prominently featured in Eminem’s music throughout the years. For his latest album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), Eminem sang about Scott in “Temporary” and “Somebody Save Me.”
Scott previously revealed that she gets emotional when listening to these two songs in particular.

“I watched it in entirety and I don’t think I can do it again. I definitely cry every time I hear it at all,” she said during an August episode of her podcast about “Somebody Save Me,” a collaboration with Jelly Roll. “Between that and ‘Temporary’… I audibly sobbed I think for both songs but especially ‘Temporary.’”
Despite the emotionally charged nature of the music, Scott did give her parents a shoutout for how they raised her.
“I will say, like, watching the video back and listening to the songs, I feel like my parents did such a good job growing up where I didn’t realize how bad things were,” she explained. “But now as like, an adult, in hindsight, it’s so scary to think about.”
Scott added: “I think that’s why I get emotional so much, like just thinking that could have happened. Obviously, that’s the point of the song, but I will say like if you’ve ever lost an addict or a loved one, I feel for you and that’s how I feel about it.”
